Bursting Information Rate (BIR)
EcliptixNet Business-class service provides the business entity with a sustained bursting rate based on the percentage of traffic load and the type of traffic flowing through the business connection. Imagine hosting 5 users inside the business network with all 5 visiting websites and checking email. Now imagine one of the users downloading a large graphics file. Through a technology known as "pre-caching", our equipment automatically adjusts the signal bandwidth of this new traffic for a specific time interval; which is determined by the size and type of the file or traffic being downloaded/uploaded. After expiration of the time interval, the signal bandwidth is slowly tapered back to the guaranteed (committed) rate. This BIR ensures each business is provided the needed bandwidth immediately when needed while still maintaining enough bandwidth allocation for the remaining traffic load. Committed Information Rate (CIR)
EcliptixNet Business-class service provides the business entity with a guarantee that a minimum throughput and latency rate will be provided across our network, ensuring their speed will never drop below that minimum. This CIR will ensure each business is provided the needed bandwidth critical to their daily operational success. For more information, please contact us.
Quality of Service (QoS)
Ecliptixnet Business-class service also provides the business entity with a higher priority of traffic during standard business hours. This means based upon the rate plan chosen, the business Internet traffic will be passed before lower priority traffic such as standard Residential traffic. Public IP Addresses:
Public IP addresses are accessible through the Internet and are used for internal web 
servers or external Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). A static, public IP address is provided with each Business-class Service Plan.
Installation Fees:
Each business entity will be treated as a separate case. The fees associated with installation will be solely dependent on the combination of speed plan chosen and entity’s location within our network. This fee includes installation/configuration of wireless customer premise equipment, shielded category6e network cable run up to 100’ terminated inside customer’s building as well as basic (up to 1 hour) configuration of customer’s internal switch/router.
Additional installation fees may apply as determined by complexity of customer’s internal network configuration leading to extended hours, or if alternate equipment is needed to provide customer with reliable signal.
